Roof Skin Removal

I've read through a few posts but would love to know if there is any sort of 'how to' guide to remove the roof skin off an S2 coupe?
Mine is damaged and beyond repair.

I can't really help if the intent is to replace it with another steel panel and want a factory finish.

But, for mine I think I cut it down both sides on the insides of the rain groove. I roughly cut the r
Front and rear close to the windscreen and hatch to remove the bulk of it. Then drilled out the spot welds to remove the remaining pieces.

I am going to glue in a new panel that will start/stop inside the V of the rain groove.

Bet that made welding that beast of a cage in easier. Would love something like that.... Mine is damaged where the roof rolls over into the C Piller.

I see there are lots of spot welds so assume drilling them out and split any glue and it 'should' come off....

Is there no possibility of just welding in a section to replace the damaged part instead of removing the full skin?

Probably but have the usual rust along the windscreen

Well I had a very productive weekend.

S2 roof skin removed.

Still need to clean up, pres and start plug welding all the drilled out spot welds but skin layed in position for now.

Might look to swap the rear quarters too as the donor car is spotless where as my S2 quarters were rusty and I have patched them..... More drilling I guess.
