I have a driverside ellipsoid headlight but it has some broken brackets on it & i need to replace it for the mot as it doesn't sit right.
So my question is can i the back of the headlight with a coupe one?
Is it totally beyond repair? Can you not repair the broken pieces by using the solvent/cement that is used to join drainpipes etc. when this stuff sets nothing will shift it... the repair should be just as strong as the original.
agree with chezz, also if its the top bits that are broken then make up some small metal bits to fit there instead, you could make 2x z bits to hold it together. Cheaper than buying a new headlight but if it comes to that then i'm sure anton on here would buy your old one
The top clips are broken on both of mine and have been since I bought the car more than 10 years ago. I used a door stop cut in half and long course threaded screws to anchor the lights. Never had a problem with them in all that time,

i'd be on it like stains on a matress! i'm sure the clips are all the same though.
