Lower door strips - RS2

Did anyone ever find a good source for new lower door strips for the RS2? Mine are looking a bit shabby. I know a thread was started to discuss the option of getting a batch made up, did this ever materialise?

Also, how were these attached originally? The one I have a problem with seems to have clips bonded to the door and then the door strip is hooked onto these? Is this a custom fix?

Audi still has them.

But sit tight as Aronmatic is making a carbon fibre version of them!

There should be pins on the door that the clips attach to. As far as I know, the S2 and RS2 have the pins. The trims have not been made as yet, AronmaticS2 is looking into Carbon ones also...

That's cracking news, I've just been downstairs to the car park with a mate to check them out and they're definitely past their best....

The clips are bonded to my door and the trim clips onto those - Madpugger that's not quite how you describe yours, wonder if someone has changed these at some point? Who knows

I ve now completely removed both front strips as they were flapping around like a badly packed kebab.

I should have taken a picture of the rusting on the inside of both strips bit it's little wonder they stopped gripping after a while (they are now in my local tip).

This is one of the few things on the RS2 I would say is a genuinely bad design.

Aronmatic - you are a man in demand, it looks like you have a very healthy order book ready.
