    Pin1 - Motor +
    Pin2 - Motor -
Pin3 - Fixed end potentiometer, 5V+, all connect to pin C8 on control unit.
Pin4 - Other fixed end potentiometer, ground, all connect on pin A12 on control unit.
    Pin5 - Variable end potentiometer

Wire colours vary, but the pinout is the same on all 4 motors.

DM me if you want a diagram.

I've replaced a few of mine with these:

Also found the potentiometer needed a strip down and contacts cleaned to get it all working properly
Not a straight forward task but easily doable with a bit of patience
I used this as a guide, not exactly the same, as the pot doesn't come apart as easily but it's a good start

So what would the best way to test and see which one is faulty ? I was thinking to add power to 1 & 2 would that do it ?

Yes you can, but i'm not sure what voltage they're normally fed with. You might wanna but a light bulb in between before you set 12V on them.

They are 7v.... so I will need to find a suitable supply

Use a 9 volt PP3 battery for the supply.
