Dashboard trim removal

Any tips on removing this piece of trim?



I can see the 6 clips holding it on but can't get hold of them to get them off

Easiest way is from behind... with the dashboard off

Just remove the glove box and you'll get the access you need.

star washers on mine - work / lever them off with flat screwdriver but get some spare first as you probably won't be able to re-use them.

Use a really small screwdriver, poke it through the little gaps in the clip and twist to loosen the tabs so the clip can be prised off.
There are 4 little slots in the clip and you may have to twist the screwdriver in all of them to get it to loosen up enough.
To re-use the clip just push it flat again on the table and push into position with a small socket or biro tube.

I've done these a few times with just the glove box removed. Later cars have sliding clips which are much easier.

Thanks for the tips, was much easier once the glovebox was out of the way! If you hammer the washers flat again, you can re-use them.
