Had to do some repairs on the exhaust today as it turns out the flexi joints I bought had mild steel end caps, something the seller failed to mention!

As you can see, they've not lasted well




Got some new ones, making sure I got the ones that specified 100% stainless

Bloody hell that's crap! Not your welding, the mild steel on a stainless exhaust part

The first V band clamps I bought had stainless clamps and mild steel bands. Useless after 12 months of use. You have to read the details carefully with some of this eBay stuff mostly sourced from China.

Update time! Not really made any changes recently becasue, touch wood!, the car has been dead reliable and I've just been driving it But I have been making and collecting parts that I had planned to fit over the winter, but I've not actually started yet

New aluminium radiator from Vidar Skotheim


Billet steering arms from Jay at Dynamic Motorsports, to match the billet steering bracket he also supplied.


Converted the throttle body to V band to eliminate the silicone hose. I don't have many problems with boost hoses coming off, but if I do it will be that one! Still making the 70mm stainless pipework to match.


I've also re-done the breather system, the system is the same, as it works, but the parts are custom made for my engine bay.







Even bigger rear brake kit, this will retain the 43mm piston caliper I already have but uses the 300mm Phaeton disc, B5 RS4 hub and carrier




And finally I wanted new stronger wishbones on the rear, but not wanting to splash out on Sport quattro ones, I decided to make my own, using at standard bottom ball joint and Powerflex black series bushes.

Did some work on the interior today, I've had some wood trims that I've wrapped in 3M carbon wrap.
