Just managed to catch up on this thread - mighty impressive build - especially like the welding work on those many fuel & breather fittings. Hope the shares in suppliers of AN hose fittings works out for you - wow !Paul Nugent

Well this wasn't the next update I was expecting to post! After almost 20years of ownership I've sold the S2.
I broke my own advice and took the car off the road at the beginning of Covid to do some more upgrades and maintenance and its not turned a wheel since, it now needs a lot of time and money putting into it to get it back on the road and I've lost all enthusiasm. Its gone to a fellow forum member and all the good parts will live on in various quattro projects he has going on.
I've also go a shed load of parts that I'll be sorting through in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!
I'll be sticking around on here as ironically I'm still doing lots of machining/welding/fabrication/refurb jobs on other peoples builds.

Shame you sold it, you had it a long time. What's next?
It also shows how far the forum has fallen, before the upgrade years ago if you posted this in the thread you would have had a lot of replies, now the sites lucky to see a couple a day.

Andy, could you share the dimension of tubing for wisbones you made? ThanksOriginally posted by AndyP View PostUpdate time! Not really made any changes recently becasue, touch wood!, the car has been dead reliable and I've just been driving it
But I have been making and collecting parts that I had planned to fit over the winter, but I've not actually started yet
New aluminium radiator from Vidar Skotheim

Billet steering arms from Jay at Dynamic Motorsports, to match the billet steering bracket he also supplied.

Converted the throttle body to V band to eliminate the silicone hose. I don't have many problems with boost hoses coming off, but if I do it will be that one! Still making the 70mm stainless pipework to match.

I've also re-done the breather system, the system is the same, as it works, but the parts are custom made for my engine bay.

Even bigger rear brake kit, this will retain the 43mm piston caliper I already have but uses the 300mm Phaeton disc, B5 RS4 hub and carrier

And finally I wanted new stronger wishbones on the rear, but not wanting to splash out on Sport quattro ones, I decided to make my own, using at standard bottom ball joint and Powerflex black series bushes.
This is the jig I made

Trial fitment

The finished article

Now I just need to find time to fit all this!Audi Coupe Quattro 2.3 20V

I've actually been driving mine a bit more lately, next project is new tyres on original 16” Avus. She might end up back to stock in a year or two! (But I doubt it) lol

From memory it was 1" for the main sides and the cross braces were 5/8", 25mm and 16mm in metric, and it was T45 tube.Originally posted by Tom_ View Post

it is a shame, unfortunately the likes of Facebook and instagram for quick short posts tend to take priority.Originally posted by david1980 View PostShame you sold it, you had it a long time. What's next?
