I'd hazard a guess at the pipes come off the washer jet for the rear and when you use the rear it either leaks or builds up.

Good place to check for starters

I think i may have found the cause of my leak, i think its the tail gate seal, has anyone had experience of this?

      Cheers

i have a tailgate seal leak whenever i wash the car it comes in.Although i bought a new seal it still leaks after a while as the top 2 edges get more pressed overtime and flatten the seal. However what i did was manage to adjust the tailgate closure to be more tight (four screws on top and the locking mechanisms on bottom) as well as instead of buying again a new seal which is costly,i simply unhooked the seal and gave it a 10cm turn so as the top 2 edges of flattened seal be placed into different positions where water is much more difficult to get in and build up.So no leaks now!

After fitting the new seal i still had a leak on the o/s so it was time to strip the lot and get to the bottom of this.....If you look at the picture you can see a hole toward the top, thats where the water was coming in,it would run down the tail gate between the rubber and should end up going to the road but for some reason a small amount would divert through that hole there was no plug there so no idea if it should have one or not, so my solution was to plug the hole with a plastic plug the silicone it and hay pressedo NO more leaks
