will be doing that myself very soon. trying to find a source for the OE style VDO gauges though.

you can get sheets of plastic like that from model shops for about £5

Planning to buy another air outleft cut the fins out then bond the plastic to it and then maybe cover it in the carbon look film to match the other dash trim

Both those gauges look good, I've been doing some searching for a nice simple gauge and coming up with not a lot.

Any other recommended boost gauges anyone? And where to buy online?

only one thing to bear in mind is that once fitted obviously the pipework and bulb wires impair the operation of the on off facility off the vents . they are set to on . so when i dont want them blowing i just point them down or to the side. a small price to pay on what i would say is the perfect spot for the boost gauge...

Now painted - looks a bit glossy so I might try some different blacks - but I'll try it in the car first.

Matt paint or satin paint next. It might not be too bad as my cowling was a shiny plastic - the replacement cowling is a different shape and has that matt cow skin effect.

Doug, stare at the photo for 10 seconds and it looks like darth Vaders helmet!! :-)

Damn fine job you've done if you can, try to get some semi-gloss paint it may be a better finish??
