actually i wanna do concert ii stereo and i need illumination.

i actually was researching on how to connect the concertII up as well, from what i can read it looks like a need a trim piece from a 2000 cabriolet and fit that into our dash, and then with one of the adapters from teh links posted above it'll all work... anyone confirm?

I have 2 cq, i will sell/part out the black one and keep the silver.

however, i wont spend $150+ just to get illumination. I dont care the speed volume control nor 1 hour auto shut off.

Which model Conceryt is this and do i need an interface, OEM plugs fit the radio but will i need to mod the radio to get illumination ?

also can the connector for the CD control be bought or is this already in the S2 ?

Concert I. works fine without adapter (simulator).


Concert II works fine, it has back ground light, but no illumination for the buttons.
You can fix it if you have the first generation concert II by grundig

You need a Audi Can Bus Simulator Concert 2 Chorus 2 Symphony 2 A4
(sellers name is: kunset*de on ebay, EUR 47.00) if you have the later version by panasonic.

Thanks, Its Concert 1. How about the CD connection is there already a cable in an S2 for this or do i need to source ?

That i dont know. It was long time ago when i had S2 and i have concert II now.

But im very sure someone here can confirm it.

Update on Concert Fitting

Managed to get time to carry out the Concert Upgrade. This really easy to do !

I've a concert label says Concert M4, 4B0 035 186 C. Pin out for illumination is different to Concert mentioned here. Anyone know which pin to solder for illumination on this model ? http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec86.shtml

No way of getting the autocheck infos on our cars (B4/C4) from a Concert unit AFAIK.

The 3 wires are there on the old connector(at least in the B3/B4 cars). Someone just needs to try to connect them to the new mini connectors, specifically the option one. I am just curious if the Concert I(or Delta CC since it was offered in the B4 chasis) can communicate with the older display standard like a Gamma CC can. I would like to keep the functionality if possible when upgrading my radio, but if I am unable to I will just get a Concert II(I know this won't work since it uses Can-BUS).

I went ahead and ordered a Delta CC off ebay with a narrower faceplate to try this with.
