I have one of my new wheel bearings pressed into its carrier but have hit a question. My notes are these hubs did not have circlips fitted (which are a useful stop for the bearing) on the inboard side, but I don't have any decent photos of the original installation position... well none I can find so far.
I know from old notes that I am looking for about 1-2mm clearance from the back of the hub to the carrier when it is pressed into the bearing, but I don't want to press the new bearing too far into the carrier. Does anybody any good pics of original bearing installation positions ?
