  • Front top mount for strut

After doing some checks on the car i have noticed the the front top mounts are knackered. I fitted two genuine green top mounts about 2 years and 5000 miles ago. I remember the at the time 2 years ago after asking people on here options and most people said treat them like a disposable item because they don't last.
I am just wondering if there is any new better solutions people know off since i last asked or is it worth just getting the same again?

You can look at solid top mounts such as http://www.compbrake.com/product/aud...nt-top-mounts/ I have often wondered if it fatigues the strut towers but i know others have been running these types of mounts for a long time.

Any feedback for people with solid top mounts?

I have considered fitting some, but havent done so far.

I was looking at these today. I was thinking the same where day to day use might stress the strut tops. Be quite good for a track car I would think!

Looks like a good set up Lago Blue. My problem would be how little mileage I do a year in the car and giving you feedback about them. I use my motorbike 9/10 months of the year and probably only do 1000/1500 when I use the car as back up when the roads are unridable. I would like to try them out but my feedback would be slow.
