After these parts fast for MOT, need help / advice / links to buy
On a Coupé the rear arms are always pressed, fronts can be forged, you would need to check.
The Avant has a completely different rear suspension setup to the Coupe
'96 Coupe will have pressed wishbones front and rear unless they've been changed during the life of the car. Wishbone bushes are the same front and rear, these are the poly bushes for pressed wishbones:
Huge thank you to everyone here that has helped me out!
Result:
2x Top mounts £15 each - (audi £45 each) and these are better than the audi ones
Steering rack gaiter £10 - (audi £17)
(I enquired about 2 x drop links for front antiroll bar -- £25 each oem -- Audi now obsolete) - Pete said ones I have are ok - diff suppliers over years.
2x Slotted nuts £3 each
Plus powerflex (purple ones) bushes for both side (4 total) £80
All from Pete at Quattro corner. Prices seemed good and I know what Im getting.
Total cost: £165 (incl VAT and postage). done!! Now being sent to my mechanic asap.
On speaking to Pete and the guy at audi. Audi tradition have stopped sending things to the UK beacuse of the new Vat rules. (perhaps this will change in the future?). Pete spoke of Audi making parts obsolete after 6years also!! thats crazy!! and bad for the customer/ fans.
Anyways thank you to everyone! I shall order some wiper blades separately (i dont have enough cash for the A6 aero arm mods yet).
