    Top mounts... AGAIN!!!

Right chaps, just sorting some 034 high density top mounts out through Axis at $25 each so about the same as the green / blues. Thought it was worth trying something a little different. Anyone running these? I also think that I'll try and source some mount savers for the front, anyone got a pair lying around?

T2Andy and quattro Dan are both running these, not had any feed back though. I've got a set sitting in the garage which I must be about due to fit as it must be at least six months since I renewed them I've got std greens on at present so hopefully these will last a little longer.

How do these compare to pro-mounts? Better or worse?

I think the problem with the stock mounts is that they're not necessary stock ones too btw. The VW FOX aka GOL, aka, parati, aka ... a few other names. has the same mounts and I think alot of people are getting them not because they ordered fox mounts but thats what companies have sent. The car weights +- 2000 pounds vs the audi.
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

                    Mount Saver Linky

I've always got my top mounts off VAG Parts so I believe they're the correct ones, not really had any severe wear issues, especially considering I used it on track a few times last year but when I took the last lot off the bearings were very sloppy and I think that's my main gripe with them.

The mount savers are an insert that fits standard mounts, they are therefore different to the completely re-engineered Pro mount and one heck of a lot cheaper too

Right, had a mail from Joe this morning saying that Mance had informed him that mount savers will not work with 034 mounts. So we'll have to wait and see how the 034 mounts get on with H&Rs on their own

Ah, I thought you were talking about mount savers for standard mounts

034 are solid rubber at the top where the mount savers would fit. 034 call this the "void" and their mounts are "voidless"

In the standard mount this void exists
