Is there any point in uprating these bushes? and if so who sells them?
The whole antiroll bar mod sounds like a very good way to sure up handling reasonably.

rob, the bushes for the front ARB come with the kit from vagparts. reason for replacing those is they will be stiffer when they are new. not found poly bushes for the RS2 arb yet though. Got poly's on back with the whiteline though

As the RS2 bar is thicker, the bushes and their clamps are larger anyway. I dont think the originals would fit.

I have destroyed my Rs2 ARB bushes in less than 2 years. The design is poor causing dirt to work its way in which acts like a cutting paste. My stock ARBs were very worn (although the bushes were fine) when I took them off the car. The bar had worn away quite a bit. A stiffer, better designed bush would take some further compliance out of the system. Stock parts are design to a price and the stardard RS2 ones are naff for a performance application.

The RS2 and S2 clamps are the same. The bush has a larger hole to accept the larger ARB but the outer dimensions are the same as the stock S2 ones.

What thickness is the Whiteline rear ARB? I don't mind paying what they charge - about £90 I think, but I don't like the thought of waiting months whilst they wait for enough orders to come in to make it worth their while to make the bar. Seems a few people have been waiting for a long time. No slur on Whiteline - they are a business - can't drop everything to make 1 or 2 ARB for an old car when they have other orders on, but does anyone know any place that will have a crack at making one up? Obviously needs to be stiffer than the stock rear one - there must be a few unused stock ones knocking about now to model off with the people having upgraded? I don't mind paying what the Whiteline bar costs for a bolt on (don't care about adjustability) easy to get hold of ARB.

Only asking before I order mine from Australia, that's all. Then wait. And wait. And wait...

Paul - you could make one like Marco's and mine.

The cost is a NA 20V quattro front ARB, 2 droplinks from a Saxo, 2 metal droplinks from an S2, a couple of rubber bushes, couple of washers and some work to modify the droplinks.

Its not whiteline that were causing the hold up but demon tweeks because they didnt want to send a shipment until they could fill a container of some size. they have reduced the quantity of items needed in the shipment but it still takes quite a long time. The whiteline is 18mm with 3 different positions of adjustment. Softess is pretty much like stock i think and hardest is a good improvement.

I will see if i can find the website for them again and you may be able to order direct.

It has definately got to be quicker getting it from Whiteline direct, I cant remember how long mine took now but it was a good few months, http://www.whiteline.com.au/

Just had a good look under my car - both my ARBS are worn and in need of replacement.
I've already got lowered H&R springs/Konis - it seems the consensus here is to fit the RS2 ARB at the front, and get this whiteline one for the rear of the coupe. Seeing as the Whiteline one seems to take years to arrive, if I fitted just an RS2 front and waited for the Whiteline rear, what effect on handling will that have in the interim?

Dan, see Newsh's post further up.

I have found an ARB manufacturer who does small production runs. I will call them on Monday. Maybe we can sort things in this country and save stress and hassle!

This is for rears by the way..

David - count me in! In! Me! In! In! *jumping around at back of class with hand up!* The front on was a revelation. The back should make it even more so.

I know that "improvements" are to be had, I was just wondering if just doing, say, the front, increases oversteer, or reduces oversteer, or not? Likewise, once adding the Whiteline rear ARB, does that increase or reduce oversteer?!

I'll put my hand up to be interested in a rear ARB David - perhaps we need a forum group buy for RS2 fronts and custom-made rears?!
