You thinking of Superflex? I thought they made their own stuff?

Nope. AFAIK Superflex and Superpro are the same products. Originally made by Graham Scudamore Smith in Australia.
I haven't seen any evidence of bush manufacturing at Wookey anyway, only storage.

I emailed Superflex when this thread first kicked off. They never replied. Hopefully this lot can be more useful.

I see that as a good thing to be honest, means they'll have a good supply of different parts to try out

I could pop round to see Chris Witor to ask him what he thinks, he's usually quite helpful. I could take one of my tie rods over, although I don't fancy removing the bush in case a solution can't be found.

That's how I thought it was. I thought Superpro at Middlezoy only did the 4x4 stuff.

Just to bring me up to speed, this is the bush we're talking about?

That'll be typical, as the rear tie rods are amongst the few parts that are currently fitted to my car.
I'll get under the car tomorrow and take one back off.

That's the one. The last rubber joint on my car... I think.

To be honest I haven't looked at the state of my bushes but if they're good now they won't be for long.

TBH I think my tie rod bushes are ok. But obviously polyurethane will be an improvement.
Have you changed the rubber joint in the steering column? I'll be interested in a polyurethane version of that.

You got me interested now. Which one? Where is it? In the column itself?

Yes, the column is in 2 parts. They are attached by 2 pins which are through 2 rubber bushes, although quite little amount of rubber there. The idea is that if you crash, the pins will slide off the bushes, so the steering wheel does not penetrate your chest. It may require the removal of the dashboard to properly access that joint.

Fair enough, never noticed that before. Just assumed it was same as the series 2's with the hairpin/hook design.

Another piece of rubber for you to think about then.
