Lol. Took me ages to find that info, translating loads of russian parts sites etc
I've still got no damper on mine, so will do a decent back to back test once i've had the car aligned and see what a fully functional damper actually does to steering on these carsPanthero Coupé quattro 20vt

This is a Sachs Boge item so should be OEM quality, part number 22-747-1.
Replaces Vag P/n 321 425 021 which was superceded by 8A2 425 021.
I'll be ordering one next week so will report back on thensigpic

I fitted mine to the avant recently, original item was in good condition in terms of damping, but when winding on full lock it made a groaning sound. Noticed absolutely no difference whatsoever with the new damper fitted, apart from curing the groaning noise.
With the two side by side there was very little difference in resistance, however the old one seems to have lost a bit of oil as the first three inches travel had no resistance when standing upright. I suspect the lack of oil is the cause of the groaning noise as air gets pushed through the valve inside.
I plan to reuse the original with (~120k miles) on the coupe as that has done three times the mileage, it groans and moans all the time. Will be interesting to see what condition its in when i get it out. ...if i can, the 7A is a nightmare under there with a battery and dizzy blocking access to it.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

"its pretty easy to get out from underneath, just a bit fiddly"
Error404 bet you would not be saying that if you owned a LHD car. There is so much junk and obstructions that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove the part! Audi says you have to remove the following on a LHD car just to replace it...
1/ Master brake cylinder
2/ ABS components
3/ Coolant bottle
4/ Assorted Vacuum lines and assorted hoses.
