KAW plus kit, anybody know this?

    Hi,

Iam looking into buying a KAW plus kit 60mm in front 50mm in the back and sport dampers. But does anybody have anything to say about KAW good or bad?

      Damn,

Well i can get yellow koni dampers and red springs for almost the same price. But cant seem to find any info on the koni's. I dont want a suspension that is to hard.

Well guess mine works to well, it is just hard as hell. When you say coilcover you just mean adjustable spring/damper in one right?

Mine works, buts it is just very hard

iven when you have it at soft,if you come to aarhus one day you can try mine it´s only height adjustable, but it´s very good compromise.

              Rix,

Can I pick your brains for a second here please?

I am torn between KW type 3 and H+R as you have now. My 'problems' are:

              Problem 1:
KW type 3 are extremely expensive, way too much money!!! (about 1900 Euros in the UK)
              H+R are much cheaper @ 811 Euro's you say.
              Winner is H+R

              Problem 2:
H+R shocks are not adjustable at all
KW are adjustable bound and rebound
              Winner is KW

              Problem 3:
My S2 Avant is 150 kilos lighter than a standard S2 so I really could do with the adjustable shocks to take into account the less weight and give me a means to adjust damping due to less weight.

My concern is H+R not being adjustable may be VERY hard on my light weight Avant and if they are not adjustable, then I am stuck forever with harsh shocks.

After reading the posts above, I'm suprised that the KW's are said to be very hard! (on a standard weight S2 Avant) and you say your H+R's ride good. I am now thinking that the adjustable KW are just not worth the WAY greater price. Do you ever consider your H+R's to be hard?

              Cheers!

                short nop,why is your s2 150 kilos lighter the std.when mine is 300kilos heavyére then a 3b coupe 1250my s2 avant 1560kg,
ps if you don´t have a cloue about adjusting (like me) then buy the H&R kit for me it´s perfekt, abit harder then std. but not in the ****ti hardness of koni, koni is for me way to hard, not good for the road, only good on flat surfess,it jumpes of the road insted of stiking to it(my opininen).

Good answer RIX about jumping all over the road, that is exactly what I do not want!! My S2 is 150 lighter than it used to be as I have removed a lot of weight from the car which is why I am looking for experience with KW and H+R shocks from people who use them. I know how to set up shocks, but before I commit to buying, always best to ask what other people think of them.

                  Thanks for your feedback!
                  :-)
