however there are also many cheaper sources, why would you have them shipped from Germany to America then back to England?

Ah, there they are. Was just looking on 034 to get a general idea of price. I'll just buy them from here or Germany if I get some.

Not doing anything yet mind - but I've been hearing good things about these, so making a note for when the time comes! (ie. when all my current suspension is f**ked )

When I bought mine last June 2010 they were $1598 shipped (Fedex international express Germany to US). 2 weeks later I checked back and they were $1798 (swear they mismarked them and honored it but then changed price). Just checked back now a year later and now they are $2090.

I’m curious as why KW no longer make the V2 set up as reading through the suspension threads, these were the most bought version for the S2

Really glad i got my V2's when i did, i wouldnt even be able to afford V3's at todays prices.
Maybe stopping the V2's was a supply issue, maybe they were struggling to keep up a supply of exchange legs? Hence why the V1 is now Fab'd?

Your right the market dictated in the past that using Koni shocks in the KW's was a big selling point. But theyve cut out the "middle of the road" 1-way adjustable shock. as they think that the V1 is "Street" and the V3 is "Track"
After speaking to KW they think that theyre V1 shock is superior to the Koni shock used in the V2, im not sure how true this is TBH!! I think that was just "schpeel" as they cant supply Koni anymore. I think theyre missing out on a large section of the market loosing the V2, they were really good coilovers!

V2 were golf rated hence the high failure rates

The shocks used in my V2's are based on an Audi 80 front shock absorber, shortened.

BTW, i have a tool for removing the inserts if anybody with KW's finds they need to remove their shocks?
