right i am sick of the rattling now. i have been out in the car in the sunshine and the rattling could be heard most of the time...
do i but compbrake ones, if so which size do i need? or has rusty come up wqith a price yet??
yes lower speeds over small rough sections and it goes under light braking. no noise on new tarmac. getting on my pip. my old man was passenger today and he heard it straight away. it sounds like a slightly loose wheel. its not though. im fairly certain its top mounts probably their demise was accelerated by the kw's
Yes any uprated suspension will kill OEMs in quick fashion
Just for a bit of an experiment I have some Leon-R mounts I have modified to fit, they are much taller than OEMs so only really suitable for use with coilovers. Will see how they work
any more info on these. eg part number and mods required? i can do without swapping them every 6 months for a car that does about 3k a year.. im not convinced with the comp brake ones, they just look like they will be harsh and noisy by their very nature.
No numbers I'm afraid mate, I got them off my mate that fitted some poly ones to his Cupra.
You just need to mod the diameter and shape slightly, you will see what I mean
i see what you mean in principal. i do a few on tt's etc as they generally mishape and start creaking... bloody annoying knowing what is the best answer
agreed it must be a better design they tend to fail at 80 to 100k 10 years etc. instead of 80 hours.
i dont know wether to try the compbrake one but they ask for diameters of bolts so i guess i need to measure the kw's
I got a second set for the back just before Christmas and as far as I recall they don't come with instructions, but to be honest their pretty self explanatory.
I'm using them with stock springs now and I really like the set up.

No you won't need the castle nut, the Compbrake ones come with a new top nut and a lower guide sleeve, their nice people so give them a ring by all means.
