Just checking if there is any interest in a kit to modify the C4 chassis(UrS4/6, 100, A6 etc.) front control arms inner bushings to solid uniball's? Other solution could be full custom control arms with all steel bearings, even for the swaybar...
The uniballs would replace the rubber bushings in the pic:

Yes, that was just what I had in mind with full custom arms.

That would need heavy modifications and weldings on the subframe as it needs new fitting points, and also the swaybar needs to be different. I was thinking of orginal layout but with a control arm made of plate and welded together with uniball cups.
Something between these:

I agree with this. I am actually getting a second subframe this weekend to put Thuppus' Subframe bushings in. I'm going to build it with the New control arms I have and use the old one to see if I can come up with an a-arm setup like that.
for sure, i believe powerflex makes poly bushings for the swaybar ends already. i need to confirm sizes.
i believe all of the arms, OE or aftermarket, have the same size bushings. this would be a GREAT solution - i have thought about buying the powerflex units (http://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-d...Bush/1764.html), they need to be pressed into the control arm, and the spacers would have to be machined down as they are too long. they are £55 each, though.
So outer bearing and front stabilisator bearing are available. Russian guys often install them but I had no chance to ask how durable the stuff is.
Inner control arm I favor the uniball version - when it's only to shorten 2 pieces then I will to this.
Maybe nice to know, in germany I was able to get ALL bearings from Audi or aftermarket. Front and rear axle.
I replaced 2 years ago everything (front incl subframe, rear incl subframe) - control arm rubber is ready for the next replacement, this time I won't do it better.
At the rear all bearings were in the same condition like new one (hardness, surface not destroyed) - only the replacement to harder or stiff bearings make sense or when they are really damaged.
I tried the powerflex inner spherical bearings on my C4 and you are right, the hole on the C4 control arm is too big.
For the outer sway bar to control arm mount 2Bennett used to make and sell poly bushes but sway bars were breaking off at the ends , not good. They stopped making and selling them as far as I know. Be careful...
