i have a s4 c4 v8 avant, 1994, came with bilstein b6 , and i have put eibach springs on it this year[c/r enterprises £250], this has tightened it up no end and [my opinion]looks better oh and it was on the sport spring [pink spots] to start with
Just throwing it out there... me and plenty of other guys have done this route on the forum... I have lowered my S2 avant on H&R springs with standard shocks and yes it a bit crashy but its not terrible. Im also going back to standard wheels and tyres as the 18s make it handle terribly and make it even more crashy.... I think its a case of tyres and shocks and springs you haev to consider...
Your dampers won't be able to cope with controlling the increased weight of the A8 sports outside their operating range, having been lowered. If you had matched dampers it wold be fine on those wheels.
Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
Indigo ABY coupé
Imola B6 S4 Avant
Ahhh... So I need something is of similar weight to the original wheels for it to handle well if I dont uprate the dampers... or I need to uprate the dampers to cope with heavier wheels. Got it.
Thing is as much as I liek the A8 sports, I still prefer the look of my refurbed 3B wheels the car originally came with.... They will be the ones on it at ADI.
Guess it cant hurt to uprate the dampers even with original wheels... What would be a good uprated damper to go for? Billi's, Konis...??? Other options?
If its me, im thinking of my T4 but again im not sure... open to suggestions. What are you thinking Rob? They wont suit an RS4... All honesty they could be kept for when I feel like a change again and may go back on as everyone says they look ace on my car.
