NicNac, click here. They're in the UK.

I currently have Koni dampers with H&R springs. Hate it. They came with the car and I think (well, I know) they're tired. Have to go asap now the brakes are sorted.

I'm led to believe the variant 2 is the way to go Mark... £924.26. I'd have to add fitting costs too, because I couldn't do it myself. D'oh!

Cannot resist.... must spend money on car.... do not need food or shelter.....

I've emailed a few places, see if they can come up with any alternatives. There is a UK place selling H&R Cup kits but they do not specifically list the S2, although the 80 avant B4 quattro is.

They list a few bits, hopefully they'll get back with some more choices.

Just a quickie, would coilovers for the RS2 fit straight onto the S2 avant or are there differences?

That would be handy, found FK coilovers for the RS2 on a UK site.

NICNAC, also worth trying shyauto.com or .co.uk I got my H&R springs from them in the end after problems with AMD and they turned out to be cheaper than AMD too.

With the fitting, most garages should be able to do it, changing and setting the suspension isnt a difficult job.

The guy had bought the full kit and just fitted the springs.
when he sold the car he had no need for the shocks.
                          wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooo!
                          Does anyone have any springs?

I think I can help a little to this thread.
You have to think what is the main use of the car, road or track.
I personally think the car should be setup for the road as 99% of us might do less than 10 trackdays a year so this leaves 355 days of road use.

                            ABY Coupe
I have tried the following setups:
                            1. Stock. It is very comfy but body controll is not great. I think front suspension should be ok with a bigger ARB to controll the roll but rear setup is so soft that agility over corners is very compromised.

2 KW Variant 2: I personally think this is a track only suspension setup mainly because of the suspension travel. You can get with it a 50-70mm drop on the car. With 70mm drop there is no ramp or bump on the road you can clear, so I tried to put it as high as possible. By doing this you are pre-compressing the springs and by it limiting suspension travel. So any time there was a bump on the road (very small) I would hit bumpstops. Is like taking a racing car on the road, wheels will leave the ground many times as travel is very small. When I had the chance to go over smooth roads, car behaved brillanty, no roll at all and neutral handling, all this without changing any ARB

                            3. RS2 Boge on front Koni on rear: This setup came because KW take your all struts when you buy their suspension so I had to buy new ones (Tots send me the front RS2 struts with shock and spring 200€ for both) and I had to buy the rear
Anyway I went for this because Boge shock of the RS2 is a little bit stiffer than the OE S2 and because I think the main problem with handling is the very soft rear I went for the Koni there (1/2 turn). Car is behaving very well know it is very comfy it is like Audi A4 s-line comfy. It still understeers but with a little less roll and more controlable. I was planning to install the front Koni and whiteline RARB untill I heard hear about the Bilstein's

                            4. My definitive setup (I hope ) Bilstein B6 Sport are especially design to work with stock spring and after the KW and marking all my underbody I had enough with lowering the car I will start by Bilstein at four corners and check the behaviour. After that I will most likely fit the R-ARB position depending on how the car behaves (probably will need the softess setting).
If Bilstein allow much roll then I will have to fit RS2 FARB and RARB at stiffer setting, will keep you updated.

                            Edited aditions:
-I think Koni should be setup soft and from time to time put them harder to counteact use.
-Koni are softer on compresion than Bilstein there for better with lowering springs (Check the thread about Bilstein for info of this http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7177)
