are b3 and b4 subframes different?

i think i seen somewhere that b3 and b4 subframes are different, but iv had a search again and cant find where or what it was i read.

i think i heard the downpipe on one (b3) goes over and b4 it goes under?

i had a look at my car before i took out the subframe and there isnt much room between the driveshaft and the subframe for a decent sized downpipe.

if there is a difference i may look at changing to a b4 front subframe for more clearance.

    and ideas / experience ?

    thanks

Subframes are the same across the board, the only difference beige the 6speed cars have a slightly higher gearbox mount on one side but you can just use a spacer.

There us plenty of room for a 3" downpipe, 3.5" will go if you fettle the lip/flange on the subframe
Make sure you keep the CV joint heat shield
