@Glen, never reveal your sources!!! Just PM me if you want more details, can get some good prices!

@Sweeper, the pipe from the wastegate is normal sent back into the downpipe. So the downpipe has to be sealed off and the wastegate has a seperate pipe that goes down to the road! Will post pics when its done.

Oh and the rice racers noise, forget it, its *****. Used to have it, but it was soo loud and gay. Have gone back to by-pass type and with a cone air filter the noise is mental. Much better. Its loads more classy.

Sounds interesting. Would you be so kind to share the LUK P/N when you have it?

How many more times is this gonna happen this year or even next?

You bet doug, I will not be beaten by the old nail. Its about time I won a fight with it. Im getting hell of a good at gearbox jobs on the thing now!!

I started the job at 4:30 today and by 6:30 the box was on the floor! I was working fast to keep warm as the heater at work ran out of kerosene!
Doh! Came home early and Im now drinking Vodka and cokes to cure the problem. It seems to be working!

looks liek the race is on to get the cars ready for the weekend.

Had a couple of probs with mine. Boost lead for gauge catches bonnet and the EGT sees to have a bad connection so sorting that tommorow eve when back home, shouldnt take long to fix though.

Tom, what clutch did you get? the sintered one?

No its not greg, its just an uprated LuK clutch. I just couldnt afford the £500+ price tag of one of those clutches. And i dont want a paddle clutch. Too harsh for everyday use. I have to come through a bit of traffic in the morning and can just see myself crashing into the back of someone

I havent tried them yet cos i found this 'wrong' one! May have to fit a standard cutch for now. and rip the whole lot back out again at a later date. Not looking forward to that. It has to be running for next w/end. There is no way im missing this RR day. Its nice and cold which will give good torque and power figures.

                          Its all gone **** up!
I have the option of buying a new standard clutch just to make it to the RR day or there is a slim chance of getting an uprated Helix clutch by the W/end! Its gonna be a close one as they have none made and are very busy, the bloke at Helix is gonna phone me on Thursday to let me know.

                          Why why why!!!

Stuff the standard one - you'll regret doing that.

Have you offered Mr.Helix a crate of beer as an incentive to rush you one through? Tell him it's Christmas and you will take him for a spin to show him what his clutch is doing!!!

Already have bud! I have opted for an organic clutch. NOT a paddle one as they are too harsh for using everyday. Will post more when i know more! I hope i can make it in my S2.
