Hi,
Yesterday managed to start just another typ85 coupe q with swapped turbo motor. And the joy of the event was smashed by the bad news - no clutch!
Check revealed obvious thing - firewall is cracked in the clutch cylinder area. Why in the world we haven't checked that when engine was out
. That was third swap in my "carrer" and all typ85 I've had put wrench on haven't such thing.
I see that this is quite common problem. 034EFI has even a fix solution which costs a lot (remember I'm from not so rich country). So we want to copy this (materials and especially labour here may be 10x cheaper
):

One thing I don't understand - how that thing bolts to a car? From inside ?
Anyone BTDT ?
