Well done Audi, congratulations on designing the most useless linkage known to man - some crap rubber and a pressed metal cup - that'll never break. After 25k my clutch M/C linkage is on its way out again - the lovely smooth action replaced by a graunchy mess

I know the feeling a few months back I had just fitted a new slave from audi and it lasted 2 hours and they refuse to give me a replacement as I fitted it myself and want the whole car in for a diagnostic at 60 quid an hour for some muppet that knows f-all about my car as he was still wearing nappies when it was built to tell me the seal is burst in the slave. Car now running great with a cheap 30 quid alternative part from some dodgy parts shop.
They're a different part number, 6 speed uses a different one to 5 speed, not sure what the differences are though. Thanks to Colsey it shouldn't be too long before I see the two items side by side though. Hoping to design a retrofit product that repairs or prevents damage in the first place and doesn't require removal or rework of the M/C

I'll have a good look at the mechanism, aiming to get something sorted for the £25-30 region that will solve the problem. Got a few ideas, it's just making something neat and tidy

I had a friend make a new one for me when mine snapped last year. Made of a great big bolt instead of plastic. Tbh I never saw what he did but he told me it will never break again
