Has anyone experience on a non agressive twin plate street clutch that can handle say 750nm easily and last a useful amount of time. I just find the Sachs 4 puck sintered race clutch very agressive and causes vibration when driving in town. I have never had a twin plate clutch in a car so have no idea how agressive they are if using say organic disks. Most twin plate clutches i have seen are just setup to grip at high torque and so are sintered material etc. Surely this could be made nicer to drive but hold less torque by using organic material?
Found this on the net. Looks interesting. A lot of money though.
I know my mate who "races" in the British drift championship (BDC) used a clutchspecialist clutch in his R33 skyline. I think they are quite popular with the jap crowd.
I have a spec stage3+ for mine and I am hoping to initially run about 550 hp and lbs/ft at the wheels, so towards 700 at the crank, I hope it's up to the job. It was recommended by 034 but Iv had a few reservations about them lately.
You can drive the single plate on street and may have no problems but you cannot start with them on higher Rmp"s / boost on dragways...
This was my problem too.
I have changed to Sachs RCS-200 (2 Sinter Disc) no problems at all.
Was it the 092 type (spline) you bought? i se there are possibilities to make the wrong purchase
