I work at medical device company in the R&D department. We make immunoassay and blood gas analyzer.
Use to work as an engineering consultant, was fun but to many hours driving to clients etc with two children under 3 years old.

I do Software QA for one of the largest global pizza companies.
Used to do the same for Siemens healthcare, and then an eye bank.
I really like healthcare and meaningful work saving lives and curing blindness, but the industry can be slow to adopt change. I'm not unhappy with where I am now; focus on software security. Very interesting stuff, and troubling to know how exposed everyone is.
