    Shame...

I have spoke to Corey a few times and sounded like a good guy...

I had also ordered an Cayenne calliper kit from him, and we agreed 4 weeks for delivery after the 5th week I contacted him and he could not give me a date, he had been let down with his machine shop...

The order was cancelled and fair play to Corey a cheque was in the post to me in a few days...

Agreed that this should not be a public hanging, and that Corey has the right to reply. As there is always two sides to every story...

We are dammed if we say anything and dammed if we don't.
People make your own judgements, those that have/are dealing with us know what we are about and what we do.
Our workload is immense and makes for very little time, I'm sorry to anyone that is trying to contact us, please bear with us.

There is a small minority of people that do not like us, we can't get along with everone, try as we might and they seem intent to jump on the band wagon at every oppurtunity. You don't like us, I know!!!
If we are scamming people then why would we sponsor the forum (makes me wonder whether it is worth £500 a year) and why would we provide prizes for events?
Small people and small minds. We have never hidden any of our past from anyone, if someone has asked the question then we have responded, there are 2 sides to every story, we lost a court case. It happens.
Yes we have made mistakes in the past, we are human after all.
Neo, I don't see any emails?

I have not dealt with Quattronics (yet) but I have to say that I am in business, and all others who are know that communication is everything and it is both professional and courtious to keep clients informed and up to date with proceedings of any job/order. I was planning to order a few bits in the New Year but for this reason and this reason alone. I will not be using him.

Sweet! =)))) He is alive! And this thread has filled it's purpose. I never intended for this to turn into some dirty talk thread. Just wondered if you were away or something. So my apologies for any trouble it might have caused you but I hope you can see it from my point of view to.

Over the past three weeks I have sent you three emails to this adress:
          Corey <corey@quattronics.co.uk>

Is this wrong address? I have just replied to your emails. None of them have bounced back. So maybe your ISP has some trouble? Please provide me with another e-mail address where I can reach you or can I use PM's? I do not want to use this thread for our private conversation. =)

Sherv i absolutley agree with your statement. I to have my own business and the last thing i would ever want to do is slack on communication with my clients.

It seems to me that this communication problem has existed at Quattronics for a while now and in my opinion should have been dealt with, but i also appreciate that somtimes funds dont allow you to expand in the way you need to.

I have purchased 2 items from quattronics in the past and both where supplied ontime without fuss, so personally i will still be calling quattronics when i need somthing 034 etc.

This leads me to my final point that by being bad at communication could lead to the 034 brand being damaged in this country which would be a shame as Javad and the team in the US have worked so hard to get their brand and product right.

Communication has been a common issue here. I do not question Corey's ability to produce outstanding results with his work. I also believe that he can be fair to his customers.

However, it is well known that there needs to be an improvement with the communication. It is common to expect 3-5 weeks in between correspondence. Now, to some customers this may be acceptable. To many, this is not acceptable.

In the company I work in, we have a strict 5 day rule, where we must respond to our clients within 5 working days of the date we received correspondence from them. REGARDLESS of how busy we are.

Perhaps I could suggest that Corey could create a standardised email which he could keep on file. All he would need to do is include a small sentence with a brief update on the current situation. This just comforts the customer and reinstalls their trust in the company.

If you have not heard from Corey for a long while and can not reach him - then it appears that the most effective way to get his attention is by starting a thread on the forum and kicking up a fuss.

After all, all business owners have concern for their company's reputation.

As for the forum that was linked earlier in the thread, I'd be cautious but would not believe every word written. Many people tend to exaggerate when their emotions are high.

              xX Merry Christmas All. Xx

                  hello

just had a phonecall with quattronics 5min. ago, talked to a nice lady there, since corey was at the workshop, working.
well they told me that all thats missing from my order (17/9-07) is the clutch. And i think everything sounds to be ok and fine, i mean i am in the middle of nowhere and used to waiting for things
But she told me she would get back to me, today and let me know, and they would help me out as mutch as they could, with the shipping and sutch.

So i think corey and quattronics are, good to deal with. I find them good folks. so i will let you guys know as soon as i hear something

I've used two previous specialists in the past on 20V and 20VT engines and not always been happy with what was actually done compared to my expectations - the balance between business development, existing customer communication and actually getting there hands dirty doing the work is a tough one, especially as most specialists are small firms (not £100 per hour main dealers who can afford marketing teams and to stick a hot chick on the front desk to do nothing more than answer the phone and look hot - not that there's anything wrong with that of course). There are sometimes delays or things are not going to be complete upon collection and for this reason business development and communication gets placed second behind getting there hands dirty. I doubt there's many businesses that can claim they've never prioritised what's urgent over what's important.

I have recieved over a dozen emails from Corey during the past month alone, keeping me informed of how my project is going, many including pictures (I'll be posting them up once complete ). He's working very hard to get me my car back as soon as possible, even accomodating my last minute additions, like the PITA headlining. Whatever he does, he'd end up with critisism, as if he spent more time at a desk that's less time under cars and so I (and probably other project customers) would be unhappy.

"Rock" and "hard place" come to mind.

Unless it's urgent, I use email to contact Corey, so he can respond in the evening. If I was worried about it going stray, I would use Delivery Receipts to feel confident my emails have arrived. I don't find Read Receipts all that useful as they don't always work (depending on the recipients mail client/settings).

I completely agree with daisfunky on caution regarding the external thread - wise words from someone so young (says me with my oh so experienced 27 years).

I have been dealing with Corey for a while now and yes comm's is not great but as s2Dave said he is very busy and having something go wrong as in poor 'old' Ross's motor just compound things.

My dealings with mr Jones have been nothing but good and on my experience can highly recommend him. I have spent a lot but feel happy with what I have got in return.

As people have said two sided storys and I can bet we have all been on one or otherside at some point in any dispute so I wont comment on the thread.

Anyways I am just giving my support to Quattronics and Corey

All the best, Merry Christmas and looking forward to 2008 and getting my beast back

I've used Quattronics several times in the past 6 months and I've been more than happy with the work they're done on my car. Which is more than I can say for some other Audi independants.

Corey has always responded to emails within 24 hours and i find him easy to deal with.

I am and will be happy to use him in the future

my two pfennigs to this thread.

It can be a challenge being a small business owner, doing the majority of the work, and also having to handle all the communication (which don't always lead to a sale)

My understanding is that Corey has a small shop, so give him some leeway.

It's not like us Audi owners have alot of choices when it comes to suppliers of custom parts

                              - ALL the suppliers that I have dealt with have had communications issues....

Try to be patient, and when there is indeed an issue, try to be discreet - being flamed once on the internet has a habit of living for posterity, whether valid and deserved or not.

I had no intentions to write anything more in this thread since the thread aldready filled it purpose (that is if i get another email address to Corey or so =)). But I have to give some general feedback here.

Well... In this specific matter the stuffs were already sold and payed for. So I'm a customer waiting for my goods. And to not answer or contacting such a customer when there are delays or problems is, in my opinion, bad service. In this case Corey clearly states that he have not received my emails. But I'm just talking in general now.

Patient? I waited three weeks before posting here and just asking if anyone seen the guy. 2007-09-20 Corey told me that the money had arrived at his bank. So if I haven't been patient I dunno what patient is.
