quattronics and Corey. Gone missing?

Hopefully your and Neo's issues will at this point be addressed quickly and to your satisfaction (which is going to be a challenge given the time that has passed!)

Another happy quattronics customer here! I've witnessed first hand the hard work and enthusiasm of Corey. He worked well into the night on my S4 to get my brakes finished after we had experienced a few issues that weren't down to him. And I only paid the standard labour charge, not 12 hours worth thank god!! Needless to say I was extremely impressed with him and his guys. I will admit that I have sometimes been frustrated with things taking longer than expected and often contacting quattronics can be difficult, but it's well worth it in the end. Corey's always got his hands dirty and with the phone and computer in another building to the workshop I can understand why replies to calls and emails may be slow. You honestly would not believe the workload at quattronics and the crazy thing is that even with several very good guys working for him Corey somehow manages to oversee everything that goes on. Corey is without doubt a genuine enthusiast. He always tries to be helpful even though he's obviously busy enough as it is and unfortunately one of the common side effects of dealing with enthusiasts seems to be that they can be difficult to get hold of. MRC are very similar in this respect, their work is fantastic and again they're genuine enthusiasts but in my experience it can take some effort to get in touch with them. I don't see anyone slagging off Doug or Mihnea here though!!! We need more like quattronics and MRC in my opinion. Peace out!

In answer to your question yes there has been many a thread complaining of communicating with MRC.

But this thread is about Neo can we refrain for good experience / bad experience constant posting in this thread or else it will just degenerate into chaos.

if there isn't a balance then anyone can post a negative thread and do immense damage to someones livelyhood.

I know Neo had/has a fair point and I have posted treads when things started to get out of hand for me (nothing to do with Corey!) but others put posts/links that are one side of the story... I have found of late there is a lot of bitching, the forum has changed since the likes of MarkH, Doug , tom etc have moved on.... hope we can get some peace on here and some good tec posts

The point is Jay this thread isn't about opinions of Quattronics if needs be I will lock it if it's not keep specific to Neo and helping Neo resolve his issue.

It seems so. I have never dealt with Corey, so have had no problems. I think that is the safest way.

They are as busy as ever, they have my car over a year, (Daisfunky), but I am content with that, I'm "investing" well into 5 figures sterling on mechanicals via Quattronics (Neo). Half paid in advance. I've discussed the spec with him by e-mail (12) and on the phone (6). ( and upped it on three separate occasions, the "delay" has ended up suiting me as now the car will be done once and done right and won't be off the road in the future for further upgrades ). Remember he moved premises earlier this year which always knocks a small company off it's stride even though it's progress in the long term.

If he was to take every phone call every working day he'd never get anything done. He's endevouring to finish my car in advance of Christmas and as I have discovered due to this thread working on three other projects at the same time as well as normal quick stuff as well as the postal stuff. I'm sure that may be others projects in the background.

Also keep in mind that as it is a small company and if they're busy doing the actual work on the cars it is not always possible to keep everyone appraised of every twist and turn from a communication point of view. While Neo's issue has been dealt with by this thread, it has thrown up the fact that Quattronics is a small company that is very busy.

Overheads would increase if they had a greater level of communication which would have to be reflected in higher charges to all of us.

If you want a quicker service go to a main dealer and pay their rates, but I don't believe you will get the desired level expertise and experience that Quattronics has to offer with 5 cylinder Audi engines and B4's in general, ( or the desired parts to upgrade the S2 ). They have answered all my questions and explained their recommendations clearly and logically, reassuring me and allowing me to confidently up the spec/spending.

What more can be said, it is a difficult job running a small company, especially one tuning old cars and it is nigh on impossible to keep all of the disparate people happy all of the time.

It's easy to be a bitching keyboard jockey, but give up the complaining and join the queue or go elsewhere and see how well you get on.

And regale us with your experiences be they good or bad, but keep them fair and unbiased.

i've taken my urs4 to corey several times
infact it's there now getting the fmic fitted
and a new stainless steel exhaust
i have on a few occaisions rung to
ask how the car is getting along
sometimes i get an answer
sometimes i don't
since knowing corey i have had lots
done to my car

1. short shift kit fitted
2. full suspension rebuild change the ufo struts to hp2 struts
3. uprated brakes 6 pot cayenne calipers

mods that are in progress

1. fmic
2. 3" turbo back exhaust

aswell as other little things that slip my mind at the moment
everytime i go to see he's always busy
so i suggest that the scare mongerers
pipe down and let corey and quattronics
get on with projects old and new
if people using quattronics are n't happy
then the opinions should be first voiced to corey
and not the forum
so lets put an end to this witch hunt
