REVERSE THREAD, CARS THAT HAVE BEATEN YOUR s2

Lets see how many of you will admit defeat, like most of you I think my S2, and for that matter my S6 take some beating, even though they are both standard,[ at the moment].
For me the biggest buy far embarrassment in a straight line was a nissan 300, [which I have just found out is about double that],it was like I was standing still at,I might say a considerable speed in 5th, it was just effortless the way he went past.
Then there's the mid range torque cars, mostly diesel, not easy to overhaul from 50 to 75 or so, then you run out of road, that's apart from the small cars with far less hp,
lIke my son's 106 on the twisty bits, mined you, no back seats ,head lining 2LTR engine
with some sort of race spec, role cage and lightweight every thing, if you blow on it it moves, but boy dos it fly at about 200 hp per ton.

These days there are loads of cars that can easily beat a standard S2, chipped ones too for that matter!

Not had anything beat my UR yet!!. None of the Jap stuff anyway. The best was a 997 turbo he wasn't happy..

When it was a 10v running circa 340bhp with stand alone ecu i had a run with a MK1 escort, me thinking it would be easy and it absolutely slaughtered me...

        Would love a repeat now..

I've never been embarrassed in the S2 really... been kept very honest by diesel machinary (BMW 335d), M3's are very quick, got beaten my an Evo FX-400 but I wasn't far behind... the only stuff that's really done me properly is newer, much more expensive machinery... on the 'ring that is a different story, got dominated by a diesel A2 but it was my first ever lap

And of course with 'Project 400' nothing ever got close

when i first had the GT3071R conversion done, i had a run against an audi tt stage 3++ which we started off 2nd gear and he was pulling off me on every gear change(i was playing it safe anyway) but it was more powerfull. On the same dyno (rototest) it had about 30whp more than me,but maybe more than 150Kg lighter as well.

His turbo was bigger anyway, and at the time he thought i was using the GT3076R which was cleared up soon after.

Had a few cars pull small leads (Porsches, Supras, that sort of thing) but don't remember being slaughtered on the road, got beaten by Bo and S2avant on the 1/4 mile (stock car) and had some fun chasing HPMuirt @ Combe in '07... (un)fortunately the S2 just doesn't attract too much attention

Lots, when I had a boost leak in the avant.
Though not many tried it on as they just didn't know what the car was luckily. I miss that stealth.

I´ve had quite a few loses, but car isent going as it should so maybe thats why.
worst lose is an s4 v8, as he was a real smart ***, and the car was not that quick, could easy have taken him if the car would work

Can't believe it, Mrs K who is a pretty swift driver just got blown off the road by a 20 year old Audi Quattro whilst she was driving her Audi S4!!

This thing was not just a little bit quicker, it was awesome.....

Much respect to whoever was driving it. If anyone on here, let us know if you have either got the biggest Garrett going, or NOS, as you were quick!!

Hehe, the NA V8's are boring, no kick whatsoever. I tested a much hyped S6+ with "400hp" and nearly fell asleep. Max G's measured in 2nd gear was 10% less than what my RS2 produces.. in 4th gear:mischeif:

I pretty much never come across anything worthwhile when driving the RS so far only a Lotus and a Cayman plus two bikes.

Chipped diesels that think they rule the road due some decent twist right off idle get sorted swiftly. Seriously, if one is not afraid of shifting gears, most diesels are no match for even a standard S2. Mistake most petrol drivers make is that they don't downshift when needing to go fast.
