0.9 Bar WG spring measurements please

It fits alright, just make sure you've had your spinach before attempting to get it compressed
Should give the boost levels we discussed, did on mine. Try it out with a stock WG cap and WGFV unplugged and report back, car feels a little spluttery on it, as you'd expect. Adjustable WG cap means that pre-load can be dropped by approx 25%. Part load is where you'll notice the difference, makes balancing the car on the throttle so much easier although you have to recalibrate the right foot in traffic. V stream almost feels laggy in comparison
. I'm almost tempted to go the whole hog and get a 1.5bar spring in there...

I have a spare WG here with adjustable cap - will likely try it out on benchtest with compressor first just to get a feel for the beast...
Then I'll try on the car with WGFV assistance being dialled in by emulator. I hope its not too snatchy and twitchy at part throttle with it wanting to build boost too quickly. That smoothness across the throttle pedal range is something that is nicely controllable by software in conjunction with a less rampant WG spring - so will be interesting to see how different it drives.Paul Nugent

The V stream more than adequately caters for those requiring refinement, this is a lot better for actually driving the car IMO. It only gets carried away if you leave your foot on the accelerator too long at 3k+. Suggest you give yourself a good hour to get used to it, it's very different to the dead pedal you get with the OE spring.
You should be looking at 40mm between the cap and WG when fitting the spring.Cheers'en, AndyC

I am going to double check positions - memory is of 25mm gap on an unmodified WG - which is my preference for an ideal position to start tweaking the software side of things... That may not be viable of course or we may need a tweak on this big bed spring to work at default setting...Paul Nugent

OE spring gap is approx 46mm. my spring is 6mm shorter
Fit it to a stock WG cap, i.e. as I've tested it and as it was designed to work and see what you get, should be as per figures in my PM

@ Newt, great avatarYeah, I understand all those points, and there's nothing wrong with information. Just offering that there's no need to re-invent the wheel if you're looking for a 1.9b spring, we can do group shipments to drastically cut down on costs. If someones going to do a run out there I wager we'd be able to beat whatever pricing was offered, including shipping. Plus we typically have a bunch in stock, so it's an off the shelf, no-wait order.
