There is no reason why anyone cannot type in english and use punctuation on a mobile.
From my point of view, it does'nt give much confidence in a seller if they can't even manage something as basic as normal structured speech

So you need qualifications and a well educated background to sell a car?

Where did I mention anything about qualifications?!
Would you rather deal with someone who you can communicate with properly and read their texts/emails easily, or someone typing like a chav?
Remember, it could also reflect on how they have looked after/driven the car too to some degree.
Funnily enough, I was looking at an advert earlier, and the spelling was pure comedy!
It definitly put me off tbh

Well it seemed like you were pointing out that he cannot use basic structured speech, you're reffering to poor spelling and the like putting you off, and you've got to have some know how to be able to spell, right? Still don't see why that should put you off, he obviously has some knowlege about these cars, regardless if his texts are a pain in the ar se to read... which they are...simple cure, ring the guy instead

I have NO issue with a guy wanting to ask the high end price for a car "If its worth it" and as long as it's listed in a "Fair and honest Way"....

As a buyer you can always walk away if you think it's too dear... What I hate is dealers over talking a car.. making it summit it's not...

As for spelling and text talk... If I saw an advert written that way I would not even give the car the time of day...

In these days with spell checkers inc online one's etc.. There is no excuse for bad spelling...

(just used a spell checker before posting this...)

Ages I sent him a message about one of the S2 Avants he has for sale, a simple and polite message explaining what it was all about, and asking if I could add it to the register if he would let me have the reg.
All I got back was a load of ******** and abuse.
Is that how he deals with customers too?

Why would you buy a car to replace one you regretted selling, and then put it up for sale again?
