feeler ur quattro turbo wr
Thanks to gav (aka peanut on here) who's helped out loads with this I now have a ur quattro finally. It turned up at my lockup this morning as I was at work so I had to wait till I finished before I could go over and have a look at it.
apart from the rear shelf which had fallen apart due to the missing rear window (squirrels weigh quite a bit ) the interior is in very good condition just needs a good clean/hoover. Under the bonnet is loads of leaves etc so they will be cleaned up and it will get a good service. Outside of the car is not too bad with a couple of small rust bits to sort.
I had a quick go with a mate to see if that it would start and after swapping the small earth strap by the battery tray (it was rusty due to the missing rear window) for one from the 1.8 gt i'm breaking we had power, the fuel pump was knackered and not making a noise before we started it so we removed it and got alot of what fuel was in the tank out (horrible smelling stuff ) As a temporary measure we used the pump from the 1.8gt just to see if it would start, after a couple of turns it fired up for a bit but was a bit flooded so i've left it till tommorow before having a proper go to have it running for a bit. I've put some v power in so should have cleared out the old fuel ok.
Not the best pictures but here's what I managed to get today

Hope this thread interests people as i'll try keep it updated if people want me to
Gonna have a good clean up of it tomorrow providing I don't have overtime at work, taking over the hoover for starters then can see what it is like under all the grime.
Checked alot of the bits on it whilst I was there and the majority of things work, only thing I found that would not is the front wipers but that should hopefully be easy to sort, shame its a lhd otherwise I could have used the motor from the gt.
Once again, can't say thanks enough to gav for all his help, he's a credit to the forums he's on, especially considering he's just become a dad as well
Been back over today for longer and managed to sort out a couple of little bits but really need more time over there (looking forward to a weekend on it soon) managed to hoover up alot of the leaves etc under the bonnet before the hoover decided enough was enough so i'll take over a proper one next week and finish it off.
Right started off having a look round the car, first thing that I noticed was one of the rear vents had seen better days and the paint had pealed from it, luckily I have the silver gt that i'm breaking so that got swapped over in 5 mins

Then decided to have a look at the air filter, this was soaked thru and the amount of rubbish underneath was unreal, 5 mins with some gloves and the bin had it looking better, need to get the air box out and clean it up fully.

Started clearing out the leaves etc from under the vent on the bonnet, was quite a lot here but no nasty hidden surprises underneath

Picture just for amanda to show where the heated seat switch is on this car, I presume that there is only a heated drivers seat on the car and not passengers as well as I didn't find any other switches/controls.

Standard radio..... and unfortunately all my music on tapes would most likely kill the standard speakers (especially if it had any rear one's) as its all d&b from when I was younger.

roof felt/materials fine but sooooo retro

And we found an annoying small leak in the fuel line by the drivers side strut tower, my mate said that we could splice in a section of pipe to sort this out, what do people think about this, the rest of the system is fine just this small bit. I'm going to change the fuel pump for a 044 whilst I have to as i'm getting a good price on one for the car, only bit i'd have liked to have kept was the screw on connections of the pump, the one's on the 044 are nuts and ring terminals.
