Using b4 radiator stuff would make it really easy. My oil pan will support a side mount radiator, but with teh accessories being set back, it is impossible to get a regular radiator plus a shroud in there. You would have to do custom fans.

Who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to put a proper radiator up front though?

later 07k models had power steering pumps, we are also making a custom bracket/pulley to use regular 96-2004 pumps that come on everything vag, are small and compact and act as a jackshaft for the two serp lines. Alternator should be fine

Or put an MR electric pump where the sidemount used to live.

No, this is a standard 220mm deck height, just like the regular 2.2L's. It just has a stroke of 92.8, like the rare 92.8 cranks in the old motors. Rod big end is slightly thinner too, though same bearings size. 144mm rods on 20mm pins work well with 29.6 compression height, much like a regular ABA/9a setup.

What's the stock compression ratio on those engines Hank?

                  9:1?

9.5:1 so they can run on the worst gas possible (87 octane in the usa)

They like about 400whp with stock rods and pistons before they start chucking ringlands and rods

BTW, APR just released their stage 3 TT-RS with a GTX3576r on a TiAL housing.... Guys are getting into the 10s in the 1/4 pretty easily.

                    or

The TT-RS 07k motor and the port injected 07K are very close to being the same motor.

Few updates. After building the bottom end, we needed to make a PS pump work on the accessory drive in order to have power steering in the Quattro. We CNC'ed a pulley and made the offset correct to be a plug and play on the stock AC location with OEM belts and tensioners. Works really nice, and the raised rails on the pulley help keep belts on past 7500

It is driving under it's own power with all gears forward and reverse. Need to button up a few loose ends and then it is calibration time on the ECU. Fun times ahead.

Yes, on a 58mm compressor at that.... Imagine the same engine on a 62mm or better yet a 67mm compressor'ed turbo!! Yikes!
