I may as well sell them then, I'll always be using E85 and will benefit from higher CR.

What aftermarket pistons have you installed in these 07k's Hank?

We have been doing mostly JE's and some Wisecos. Mahle makes a powerpak piston, but it is a little light duty IMO for the power I want to make with the motor.

I hear the 07k'd urQ will be getting some dyno love over the US holidays. The expectation is that they'll run out of fuel before finding any other limit.

Is that why Hank hasn't returned any of the emails I've sent him over the past several weeks?

Same here Eric - I think it is a combination of them being too busy and Christmas. Hopefully things will settle down in the New Year.

In the mean time, happy Christmas everyone!

This is a great thread that I have missed out on. I need to read it all a few times to get all the details correctly but the magic seems to be in the efficiency of the head and more compact packaging - which is a real bonus for a bigger swept volume.

One question I have is whether this engine accommodates the S2 motronic sensors for crank position, rpm, camshaft position and knock. I personally wouldn't be interested in a vems conversion - this block would give an alternative path to reliable 400bhp with very little lag and a great torque spread...probably running higher CR than the monster power drag strip users of this engine and running stock internals to keep costs down.

Are the stock rods on that 2.5 motor beefy enough for 600Nm torque ?

What is source of uprated bearings ?

Great work by Hank & others !!!
