Bosch 044 Fake identification/pictures/info

A lot of fake bosch 044 fuel pumps for sale on ebay etc at the moment (£80 ish). If anybody has any more pictures/info that would be great.

What should an 044 cost? What is a reputable source?

Identification according to forums;

Real, made in Czech Republic, M18 inlet, helicoil intake

Fake, made Germany, M14 inlet, or m18 with no helicoil in intake (newer copies also say Czech Republic)

Well I would expect to get fake product if I paid $8 but for £75 I want a real one, anyhoo paypal buyer protection n all that, takes a while but ya get ya money back in the end

So the copies now say Czech Republic as well.

we can see in one photo above that middle one is slightly slightly shorter and it has 205-03 number, the ones on the side has number 111-30.


here with boxes; from the left to the right, blue and pump next to it - expensive; yellow and pump next to it - not 'really' expensive, but has hardware for electrical connections.

hmmmm, what is a copy in our days and what is not ? where is that line ?
What I'm trying to say if (let's) say they are made in the same factory, but they become expensive because of well known distributor, or if to look from another side they have real price on alibaba .....

yes you are right, but they do have different those 5 digits numbers ....
would be interesting if anybody has aka original pump if they could post that number

I'm sure mine came in a yellow Bosch box 10 years ago.
