How old were you when you bought your S car?

I was 33 when I brought mine.....had a rather 'shaky' start in cars but at least I can say they have been getting more and more powerful as I get older

45 now & no longer counting. From the begining - '79 & '82 Starlets, '79 Opel Kadett 1.2's Coupe, '82 BMW 320 E21, still got '83 Mk1 Golf GTI, now with 8v G60 etc etc., '92 Audi 80 2.0 (single point injection, very cheap and reliable recently sold), '93 Audi 80 2.0 16V Avant (back up/reserve car), '05 Mk 5 Golf GTI (DSG) very good, but now sold, not good enough, '95 S2 ABY Avant (bought recently), Jetta Mk 2 synro with 1.8T (nearly in service). 9 Mk 1 Golf rolling shells - some now For Sale. Yes I know, and no it is not curable.

got my S2 Coupé 3B one year ago and i was 20 at that time now im on my way to RS2 conversion.

this year i got myself an C4 Avant S4 with the 4.2 V8 so i can work on my Coupé

Bought my s2 when i was 23 and my s6 at 30. Had a mk 1 golf as my first car (cheaper insurance than an audi) then 80 1.8s, 90 20v. got my s2 after that and would never sell it. got the s6 so that people dont have to climb in the back.

bought mine when i was 18 and had it working and driving it (thanks to wab!) at about 19 and a 1/4! not looked back since, then someone wrote it off on the ring when i was 19 3/4! its in the garden for time being waiting for insurance and i drive a megane as a mileage muncher at the mo lol! but it will be back with good horsepower i hope!

reason i bought it tho... drove my uncles avant one evening!

42 when I saw the beauty oft eh coupe shape and in ignorance bought a 16v 2.0 ...lovely car...but when I wanted to make it faster someone on a forum said "don't waste money on mods, just get an S2...
45 (last year) when finally got S2

(when I was 18, the fastest cheap saloon car was a Triumph Dolomite Sprint 2.0 16v
IIRC - 127 bhp, walnut dashboard, LOVELY overdrive, and slightly slower than an escort RS2000 to 60, but overtook it by 80, & topped out allegedly 125mph)
