Sten reckon he going to post South african order after the long w/end, hope he doesnt do a ..sten on us also.

Sten emailed me earlier in the week, said to expect delivery on 15th (today) but I didn't expect it coz of the satuday / long weekend; is europe on holiday too monday? I should hope that he has posted our order before he starts fulfilling other orders or I'll be really pissed... I'm hoping that everyone is sorted by the end of this coming week, or I'm going to have to consider whether I can deal with a 2nd group buy - it's been alot more time, emails + hassle than I ever expected!! If tuesday is next working day in Sweden, I'll try contacting for confirmation that the orders have shipped.. once again, watch this space

Sorry guys, meant to update last night but ended up snowed under with family drama's... sure you know how it goes.

Anyway. I got an reply from Sten, haven't replied yet coz it would probably contain some obscenities. In my email to him, I stated that we had to have rods before this weekend because of cometition races etc that required them; he made no reference to this and mentioned that he is still awaiting stock which is scheduled to arrive at the start of next week, and to expect confirmation of shipping on wednesday. Yes, that's a whole week away.

@Albert, sorry mate I'd be fuming if I were you too...

@Johnny boy, sorry it looks like another weekend without progress.

I'm quite frustrated over this delay as it's been a full 2 weeks longer than the original delay and I feel that alo tmore could have been done to minimise this... so, once again, apologies for the delay and we'll see what comes my the middle of next week. On a good note, Sten did promise same-day turn around when he has the rods and they could (fingrs crossed) come a little earlier.

Pauter rods are as good, if not better. Right now they are in stock. But I have paid SPM in advance so I cant withdraw now.

I recall Doug telling me when he orders ods (i belive they were pauter) in a group-buy, he had to cancel as they still hadn't shipped after 2 months; remember reading the thread but I guess no company is perfect eh. I think the SPMs are gonna be great once they arrive, just don't order if you need them by a deadline (even if it's a month away)!

Trouble is most people are the same.

Part of my work is in the retail /trade sector. Buy from trade to sell retail.
You get a sales rep come round after you show an interest in stocking/selling a product. Obviously the product is the nuts otherwise you would not be interested in retailing it, but they promise you the earth in terms of stock availability and delivery times.

Which invariably a load of old boallocks. Leaves you right in the mire when people are asking all the time when "their" stuff is going to turn up,and the suplier just fobs you off with its not in stock or we can't deliver untill such and such.

The only saving grace is that on trade terms you don't have to pay up front........
