Dave,

There are 2 of us in the UK, so I think we will just get JE to send them to one of us - it is only $99 + to send them on in this country.

Yourself and Timucin can get them sent direct - I don't think they quoted for US or Turkey shipping.

I don't think the low down drivability will be affected by much - although I have no experience of low CR in line 5s. The paper headgasket cars run 9.0:1, and the metal headgasket are 9.3:1 so we are not changing it by huge amounts.

Still need to see if Mark wants the gapless rings?

I was hoping to place our orders tonight - do you know when JE will receive your piston?

Im waiting for another serial modder to get back to me tonight - so we could have 4 sets with the same spec if Dave is happy with 8.7:1 and Mark is happy with standard rings - Guys?

Dave, I think lowereing the CR means you can run higher boost at higher rpm and more advance.

I have this cleared up a bit more and we have a bit more flexability. See response below.

Dave, you can have the higher CR, Mark you can have your total seal rings.

We can now order our 4 sets - Me, Mark, Sal, and Dave.

$720 + $245 + shipping (shipping was $99 for 2 sets to uk so we would still need to clear that up)

Are you guys wanting me to pay or does mr visa have to pay for each seperatley? I will phone and order on Monday. Can you all get back to me before Monday

Remember, there might be customs and tax charges when they arrive.

For the 3 or 4 sets they will be $720.00 per set with wrist pins and rings...This will be the price even if they are all different...That way you don't need to worry about it too much....That way Dave can have his higher compression and you can have the lower compression....

I assume these are all JE ring set and not Total-Seal Gapless rings...If anyone wants the Total-Seal you just add the $80.00 to that set..

The $49.00 per piston for coating is not something that can be discounted...Some, All, or None can be coated...That is up to the owner of the individual set.

Shipping is per set since they are all going to different addresses...If the pistons to the UK are going to the same address that will definitely save the UK guys some money on freight.

Hopefully that squares us all up....
