no it will the the lighter option. but yes both rates will be useful, thanks.

raymor weighed his Avant for sprinting purposes and the front axle was sub 900kg, so unless you've fitted AC, I'd say that it would be way less than 950kg

There are 2 sets of springs on stock cars: cars with AC & cars without. There are also different strut insert diameters (later cars are 55mm IIRC, earlier were either 50 or 52mm). All of this might be part of KW's 4 part numbers - it might be worth clarifying with KW what the differences between the <950kg and >950kg and other setups are. Personally, softer springs up front are a better idea, as it'll help with the understeer a little and the CQ shell is going to be lighter than the later S2 coupe - better to sort the handling with springs than ARBs etc.

Ciaran's V3s had 400lb front, 360lb rear springs on it IIRC. He encountered issues with the rear being too low and had to have some parts modified to sort the rear toe out (they go toe in under load and toe out when raised up - this was a selling point on a 306 GTI6, so it must be good ) This might not be an issue if you go for a more HnR rideheight.

Coupe HnRs are of the order of 210lb, avant fronts are 236lb - this comes from Lloyd's sticky thread in the suspension section. HTH

    M14 bolts.
Weight over front axle must be 900kg+

Ok thanks for that, but most crucial part is the weight. Is it more or less than 950kg over front axle?

    Many thanks

    1. Year and model of vehicle - (...coupe)
    2. Does yours have M12 or M14 strut bolts
    3. And what's the weight over the front axles.

Sorry it's a pain, but without this info I wouldn't be able to give you the correct data. There are at least 4 different part numbers just for an S2 coupe!

    Many thanks

I'm afraid not... Looks like its the only way to get a decent set of coilovers though. I have the same problem with my A100 which is the same situation as yours... It's a bit out my price range unfortunately

Your front struts would have to be sent to KW Germany where they will be converted to accommodate the V1 setup. Here are some references by KW:

-Height adjustable on the front and rear axles (threaded strut housings)
-Not for vehicles with automatic self leveling control
-Original struts need to be sent in advance for modification
-Coilover kits where the strut housings are delivered on exchange basis are only available in galvanized finish
    -The following parts must be used for front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles without standard sports suspension. (AUDI part nos.: adapter 441 512 347(left) 441 512 348(right) + support bearing 441 512 331 + ring 441 512 367 + curved washer 441 512

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Many thanks

Hi there, Varsity and RWD19T can you give me the full details of your vehicles please? Avant or sedan/saloon and which engines you have V8 or turbo? Also what year are your cars?
Prices are the same regardless what part numbers used for this vehicle, however I just want to make sure...
    Many thanks

Personally I'd rather have a v3 kit if they can do one. Likewise I'd prefer to buy it in kit form as have all the facilities inhouse to make em in a day. Was going to buy the 2bennett kit but been waiting donkeys for a qoute.
