Is this the fuel pipe needed for the Avant ?Originally posted by s2avantHere is the parts list for Avant/RS2 fitment:
895 201 779 H Reservoir upper part - retail @ £22.48 + VAT
895 201 531 A Strainer - retail @ £20.63 + VAT
N 904 644 02 O-Ring seal (not sure if actually needed) - retail @ £1.46 + VAT
N 018 812 8 Fuel pipe seals (2 required) - retail @ £0.19 + VAT
N 011 069 1 Domed captive nut - retail @ £1.28 + VAT
8A0 201 351 M Fuel line (not needed for RS2 as it's already fitted) - retail @ £16.93 + VAT
The only difference is that you need the fuel pipe instead of the banjo bolt used in coupes.
I shall hopefully be fitting mine this weekend assuming I get back one of fuel pump tools (I have two but they are both out there in the forum ether).
As far as I know the only problem with fitting to an Avant is getting the pump back in properly. This is apparently a lot easier with the proper tool.

What is the exact spec of the 044 pump?
Why can't we use the 040 pump? (£50 cheaper)
The threaded part on the bottom of the 044 isn't used to connect anything.

You lads do know that the Bosch 0 580 254 005 will also work (flows about 70% of the 044 and still puts out 2.55 L/min at 90 psi)? Its a lot cheaper than the 044 and unless you are making over 500 hp, its fine.
