    made?
Also with the fluidampr you have to get it balanced with
    your rotating assembly correct?
I was reading your posts above.
So no bolt on affair. If it's better than whatever else is out there
you can put me on the list for one. What's the wait time on these?

    Sorry for all the questions.
    no worries on the questions.
    1. Correct. The AAN crankshaft pulley is balanced with the rotating assembly hence why Audi made the accessory pulley and timing belt crankshaft cog as 1 unit .i.e. in order to take the accessory pulley off , you need to remove the main crankshaft bolt.
    2. They are going to be around $500 USD all said and done.
    3. It will not be a bolt on affair which is why we are making them for the B5 S4 (which is a bolt on affair) and adabting them for the B3 S2 motor.
    4. Moving forward with the B5 S4 unit so expect another 12 weeks. Just zero balance your rotating assembly.

I'd buy one for my 2.7t but I need one for my AAN first.

They will both be coming at the same time.
2.7TT and 2.2T (AAN) have the same OD.

How about warranty & life time expectancy? (have quite some experience with HD harmonic balancers, ~5% fails over lifetime, viscous oil leakage, less dampening)
Can we get timing marks on the hub? (ex. firing order or 360deg)
How about the inertia, reckon you are going for stock figures?

          Interested in the AAN version.

There will be 2 timing marks on the outer ring. one for the OEM 2.7TT location and one for the 2.2T AAN location. As for warranty, lifetime warranty to the original buyer. Some customers out there running the 1.8T units since 2009? with no issues.

as for the inertia , not sure what you mean but this will not be a bolt on affair due to countless talks with well respected community members. You will need to zero balance your internals which means removal of weight on the I-5 crank.

Inertia is the actual resistance against increase in angular velocity [mr2], and thereby a characteristic for the dampening factor.
In order to get the OEM dampening factor in the same frequency rage, the inertia level should match. Pretty sure Fluidampr now their stuff but i need a night sleep to comprehend if a V6 and IL5 can share the same damper, since they have very different levels of 1st & 2nd levels of unbalance which needs to be damped.

Example of the IL5 torsional vibration as supplied by LUK for developing the last IL5 VW diesel

Showing that the 5th order of unbalance being most critical in that configuration. The balancer would change the frequency range in to an RPM range which we won't reach.

If you can obtain any more technical data prior to ordering, please do.
But i am still in.. nobody locally can give me any good aftermarket solutions.

                ....I know what inertia is

Will have a more technical update closer to production.

I'm out on the pistons but I'll buy two of these fluidampr's. One for my 2.7t and one for my AAN.

Working on getting a prototype over to FRP.
We may have a temporary solution for AAN in the mean time.

Hopefully something materializes soon. I'm about to buy the one off of 034.
