So I'm looking to get this little adapter made.
It will be male M14x1,5 with flared end and female M14x1,5 designed for the Audi connector.
It will then have a threaded 1/8" npt hole for sensor etc. This thread in the hole can be changed to something else.
It based on the German DIN standards for a Bördel F connector which Audi uses for our cars.
Plan is to make it in Alu and stainless steel (if it won't be to expensive) and it will be fitted like this.
I trying to get a quote and I would like to have 10-20 made to get the price down.
I will update when I get some prices.
Update 15-06-2017
Prototype ordered 15-06-2017, should hopefully have within 1-2 weeks.
Price Update 21-07-2017
Price in stainless steel minimum of 10 units: 45 euro + shipping.
We have dropped the aluminium part.
Hoping to start collecting money in week 30-31 and then start the prototypen in week 32.
Installation instructions:
I install my fitting in the fuel feed line, at the junktion near firewall.
If you have problems getting the sensor to orient the right way, then you can loosen the feed line at the fuel rail and get the fitting and sensor oriented correct and then thigten the feed line afterwards at the fuel rail.
For the fitting itself there is no need for thread sealent.
However the sensor should get some thread sealent or PTFE tape or similar.
Installed on my ABY:
