Hey ZR, Glad to see you are on the mend. Sorry to see the S2 is totalled. Audi's are by far one of the best built cars around! I know nowadays we all ahave airbags and crumple zones but the Galvanised body of the S2 is a sturdy beast to be reckoned with!
Brick roads are not the grippiest of things in the dry so wet must be a nightmare!
Hope insurance cough up and don't try and "stitch you up" (no pun intended)
From the looks of it the power plant should hopefully be ok. Just watch out for the scavengers on here! If you say you are breaking it they will pick you clean!!!

Anyway, you take care and get well soon m8. next time......
A6 Avant Tdi 110 because as the fuel prices keep going up I am so happy to be getting 649.8 miles to a tank of diesel!! (£50)

a mitsubishi driver wouldn't look so good as you after a similar slippy nippy. And its true for the other single use pözso and szitrojen drivers. Your crash ensured my confidence in the S2 construction. At the same time I am sure that you won't do this overspeed again under similar conditions. You must have reconstructed the moments of the event in your brain by now and you know which movement was wrong. I bought my S2 in Germany (Neuss) from www.autoscout24.de with 88Tkm, first owner, no mods, full service, no crash, no painting, full extra. Hope you have the same luck. Soon....

Yes the whole event haunted through my brain a hundred times and I keep getting mad at myself how stupid I was so I'm trying to forget, but that will take time....

I won't get anything from the insurance because I wasn't insured for all-risk. That was a well thought through decision though. I'd be paying some mucho bucks for the next insurance after this claim, the cost for 2 years all-risk would almost be as much as buying another S2.

Thank the Gods! And a question........

Man you are one-lucky guy!! Question, if the steering wheel had an air-bag in it, do you think your facial injuries could have been less than what you have now?

                I surely think so!
Question is, would the steering wheel airbag go off with a weird crash like this, not directly crashing the front....

                  Anyway.. update:
I'm feeling quite a bit better now, leg is still red/blue/green/yellow and a bit sore, but nothing as bad as it was. Facial colors are dissappearing quite rapidly now, only downside is, my nose seems to have been broken in 2 places. Now it can be seen better too since the swelling has gone pretty much. I got a dent in my nose now and it's really crooked. I'm gonna have it straightened out and have it made smaller whoohooo! I have to wait at least 6 months before operation is allowed on my nose though....

Glad to see you are on the mend. Rolled a couple of cars myself and I know it take a little while to get it back together. Still have a seperated shoulder from the last one. Aches when it rains.

I think you were looking for an excuse for the nose job all along.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

Don't want to sound like a vulture or at worst uncouth, but....

there are several guys in the States who pay good prices for parts off your car.
Would you entertain the thought? Like I said, I don't want to appear unsympathetic but owners here in the States are watering at the mouth for a crack at your car. I unfortunately let them know about your accident and started peppering me with questiuons & requests to see if you would be willing.
I feel so bad about this.

                          It's ok
There is still one who might buy my car as is. If he decides not to I'm not sure I'm gonna keep the car and dismantle good parts, I just don't want the hassle. So if he doesn't want it I'll gladly sell it to someone else if they're fast! The car costs me 7 euro's per day where it is now so u can see I want to get rid of it fast and forget this once beautiful baby

Here is a pic of the engine bay:

The airbox and MAF have been destroyed, the radiator is crooked and the protective casing over the timing belt busted. The rest looks ok and I think the engine is still good but we couldn't get power to it to see if it starts, so no 100% garantee here....
Furthermore, the couple of months old stainless steel custom exhaust and half year old stock S2 end silencer still in great condition....
Wheels could be saved if they got repolished or something...

Can you let me know one way or another?
