So another update, not much to do now ( well thats what I keep telling myself )
Harness mounts are done, any holes in the bulkhead are welded up. Front end is etched as well as the boot area. I've started to finish all the small areas in the car, its slow progress as its very awkward to get to everything, I just need to remember its not a show car and stop being so **** but I'm sure the hard work will be worthwhile once its painted.
I need to get the shell or atleast the interior, 4 inner arches and engine bay ready for primer by sunday morning, the painter is going to come back and mask it up and prime the outside then we'll rub all that down and take it to the bodyshop and he will paint the car in the oven. The basic plan is to paint the inside, inner arches and engine bay so I can get on with putting the car together and get it ready to be moved as I'm moving units in a month and I could do without having so many parts kicking about.
I've been making a list of all the bits that are now needed, some bolts need replacing, as they are all UNF and very hard to get hold of I'm tempted to get a large amount of them zinc coated. my engine mount rubbers were also knackered and that type of bush is obsolete so SHP have had Powerflex make some which had not long arrived to them so I've grabbed 2 of those.
So piccys.
A few bits after blasting

A very bent 1/2 inch bolt !

Boot area finished :

Also finished cutting the carbon up for the dash :

One side of the inside in etch, other side is now done as well as the whole front of the car but ran out of battery !

Finally whilst at SHP today I was given a few pictures of the car from back when SHP were building it in 1993

Another update by the weekend, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now !
