Missed the beginning of this thread completely.
I do indeed know the owner. Lives in Consett.
First met him at a Croft track day way back. I bought a full set of Avus wheels and tyre off him at some point.

It's not so much a low spec for a late car, just a low spec for an earlier car registered late. IIRC it sat in a dealers showroom unregistered for quite a while.
Chassis number puts the build date around mid 1993., I know cos I checked it out through curiosity.
Still a minty car though. Sits in his heated garage most of the time.
I have his address and mobile number somewhere. Chaps name is Martin.
Old thread it seems, so could have possibly sold it by now.

that explains a lot jason. the car is very very tidy, no doubts one of the best around but there seemed to be a lot "missing" from what you would expect.

I saw a cricket green A4 yesterday at gateshead team valley looked in good nick not sure of the reg it was first shape A4 style looked nice

Paradise green is very very similar and seen more on the A4.

My old ABY coupe had similar life style color (tropical green) and low spec, man I miss that car...
