The venerable and oh-so-tuneable B5 S4. When it was released in 1999, it combined great performance, secure handling, comfort, safety, all weather functionality (with standard quattro all wheel drive) and style into a class-busting sport sedan. From the factory the S4’s biturbo 2.7 liter V6 engine produced a modest 250 horsepower and 258 lb/foot of… read moresigpic

for some reason if i use the last entry on the graph it takes it close to 386whp which doesnt make sense, which is why i said another run being well over 6600rpm would be better.
386whp is more than Ross and wouldnt give 3.3 fats, esp if mine is giving 3.0 and lower and its about that area of whpComment
-
I agree, I don't think it's making more than 350 whp.Comment

for some trigger error from vems i tend to disregard high rev numbers as well, as sometimes you get a jump on the needle and you end up with weird numbers anyway. I have to get all those cars that you have tuned now Dmitri with the perfomance box! it would be a nice comparisonComment

Thanks Andy.
A run between 4200/6500...
But it depends wich kind of gear ratio you do have true?
For example my 3gear its MUCH more short than the normal 3b boxes..that means less time spent during the FATS. ,I am right?RED Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI TME nº 16 of 250

Just got home. Running great
Dropped of my mate, and after that I did 3 more FATS runs on motorway nearby that are ultra flat.
3 times low 3.3 sec. So that is with me alone, a bit less then half a tank, and about 10kg luggage. The M20 (or what is it
) towards Folkestone is constantly up and down, and we thought it was pretty flat, but as it seems there is pretty much no difference between 2 persons or one so that must have been very slightly downhill.
I do think that my stock downpipe must be blocking flow, and causing that it spools only around 3800rpm when doing a FATS. It's even dented up a bit, so a 3" might help a bit on that, correct?
Here is one of the flat solo logs. Tiresize is stock 225/45/17, I'm 75kg, all the rest is stated above, and I don't know the exact weight of my car, but it's a full option one.

with these values, i used:
weight: im not sure if the sunroof is on the 1595kg from stock, so i took it to 1650+30kg of fuel at the time: 1680+75+15 for total
Tyres put on the graph
turns out 357whp and 309ftlb torque.
the less torque could be explained from the previous run due to some kind of incline on the road. Ill produce a photo shortly for you!Comment

Sounds good to me.
It should be between 400 and 430 hp.
Have fun with the car, and I hope everything will be mechanically sound for a long time to come.
And yes, oil temps should be better, because it won't knock.
I have noticed that oil temps go up FAST if the engine is knocking.Comment
