Driver's seat refurbished and new intake piping..

Today I've had my driver's seat refurbished. The side bolster was severely worn out and I am happy with the result!

I don't have "before and after" pics, though.

But one of the byproduct of the refurb is that now I have a two-tone interior. The photo shows the driver's seat is almost flat black while other leather surface shines with years of use

Now here goes new intake piping with a heat shield..
I told my mechanic what I want and he gave out an interesting solution. Also in was a once-lost strut bar. I got it from the previous owner, who found the bar in his storage.

My next project will be the exhaust piping, but I expect it will take time to find a garage. Better save up some cash until then..

Thank you, details surely matter. It always feels good to know I have a place to ask questions!

Interior is stock.. Ah, except for the MTM-faced main gauges. Interior also needs some work, too. I have to get the headliner fixed and the leather reconditioned.
Many more miles to go to get my car right..

    Turbulence.
    2. Where does the charged air from blow-off valve go back into? To the pipe before the MAF or after?
    After.

In my opinion those wheels look good only when they are painter silver grey (original).

^^ Definately give me a buzz when you are in Ulsan. The city is like 4 hours away from where I live, but hey, a chance does not come often! And 2 years sound like a plenty of time to meet up.

I am going to address it one thing at a time.. First will be to have a makeover of the intake plumbing (including a heat shield) + investigate what the yellow cord is for.

Still wondering a couple of things:
    1. prj mentioned that the MAF will not read correctly if positioned right next to an open air filter. I'm considering a pipe between them but what is the reason behind it?
    2. Where does the charged air from blow-off valve go back into? To the pipe before the MAF or after?

..And a silver-coated bulb is a good idea. Thanks.

I agree with macspring about the silver indicator bulbs, would clean up the front end nicely. Apart from that it's looking much better.

    Huksa,

Put silver coated indicator bulbs in your front indicators ? It will get rid of the orange egg yolk you can see in the clear indicators.

Nice improvements, especially changing the inside of the headlights back to silver/chrome, rather than black.

    Kind regards.

Wow! I must say that is a huge improvement. Love what you did with the wheels. Please keep the pictures coming.

As always, let me know if you need any more assistance.

While I was waiting for KW V1 and some other misc. parts, I decided to take my ugly green monster to a bobyshop.
The car was stripped all the moldings and received fresh coats of paint. the sagged front bumper was repositioned, headlights got back to silver (previously black-painted), wheels are now two-tone with body color, all the grills are painted black, and RS2 badge finally on the rear. The front turn signal and the red rear center panel, both cracked, were also replaced.

    Before:

And after (Sorry for the picture quality. The light was too dim for photo shoot):

    And right on time!
My suspension has arrived. KW V1 from 034 Motorsport. My car has front shocks and springs of unknown origin (literally!) and the car floats and squats like a junk on the high sea. I am going to pay a visit to a local garage for the installation as well as some other mechanical works. I can't wait!
